The strategic role of energy is inevitably crucial for a sustained development of economies in all countries. Among the available different types of primary energy sources, fossil fuels account for the most significant share of that role which have been constantly increased not only in bilateral relations between producer and consumer countries but also among all other countries in their foreign policies in international relations. In addition to the rapid increase in crude oil prices, having the lowest exploration and production costs in respect to the similar operations in other parts of the world, proven oil reserve of close to 750 billion barrels of the Middle East region has become a focal point for many major international oil companies despite fiscal regimes, as well as high political and security risks. |

The Northern Arabian Plate Oil and Gas Summit (NAPOGS 2008) aims to establish both efficient and effective platform for the companies already having operations and others planning to make investments in Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey by bringing together ministers, government officials, academicians and representatives of the petroleum sector. The Summit will also provide practical ways for discussing the political, economic and scientific studies by creating an atmosphere of cooperation and partnerships between national and international E&P companies.
The NAPOGS 2008 will cover the conference, the exhibition and the “Asset Expo”. Thus, the Summit will provide a unique opportunity for exploration, production, transportation, service, engineering, finance and consultancy companies serving and planning to serve in the region to introduce their company practices in a great exhibition ground. In addition to panel sessions in which the regional and mutual issues are considered and discussed by the invited expert speakers, participating companies could make the promotion and marketing of their upstream investment opportunities within the scope of “Asset Expo”. During the short workshops after the Summit, the problems of the region will be enlightened by the experts’ insight and the information transfer.
In order for the Summit to reach its goal, we would be honored to see you at NAPOGS 2008 on October 08-10, 2008. We would like to meet you in Antalya, the pearl of the Mediterranean.
